Eviction # 3- Demet

No surprises tonight. It was always going to come down to either Emma or Demet. Of the two I'm glad that Demet took the fall because the Ice Princess is one of the few "characters" left in the house. Once Demet lit her HayDrew bomb last week, that was really all she did. She didn't really stir the pot any more and mostly retreated into the background.
My preferred choice of evictee would have been Zoran, as I don't think he adds any flavour to the house, but the public has spoken and seen fit to punish Demet for her two faced, backstabbing ways. Meh!

In case you were wondering why I hadn't updated this blog during the week, It was because this past week has been THE most boring week in the house all season. NOTHING happened. No fights, no revelations, no fun, no nothing!
I blame the sleep deprivation task. It was a huge flop and a total waste of time. If BB was hoping that sleep deprived hm's would turn on each other, or the reverse, become closer by bonding over late night conversations. He was waaaaaaaaaay off the mark.
There was not even ONE event that warranted a blog post, and I was bitterly disappointed.
This show is going down the toilet fast. It started off with so much promise, yet it's rapidly losing my interest (and if the ratings are accurate I'm not alone).
I'm pining all my hopes on the new Intruders who will enter the house on Tuesday night. For the love of Jebus, I hope these chicks are not carbon copies of the other people in the house. We need to spice it up, we need some fresh, exciting personalities, and we need it NOW.
Lets hope they don't disappoint.

It will be interesting to see how "Demet's twist" works on nom night. It's a pretty safe bet to predict that either Hayley or Andrew will find themselves facing eviction next week, and I couldn't be happier. They are as bland as cardboard, and I think splitting them up will make for more interesting viewing.
If Hayley goes, I think Andrew would greatly benefit. She's more like his mother than partner, the bloke can not think for himself. Being there alone, without her as a crutch would mean he'd have to stand on his own two feet, and find his own place in the house. I also think he will be much more 'likable' without Hayley's influence.
If Andrew is the one evicted, Hayley would fall in a heap, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if she voluntarily left the house. There are rumours doing the rounds in the forums that she intends to leave soon anyway, to attend her sisters wedding in a few weeks, it was even reported on Nova. Either way, I really believe one of them is going home next week.

This weekend saw Rebecca yet again in tears over her inability to become life long friends with Emma. Is anyone else sick of this blubbering mess? Call me heartless, but what Aleisha said to her was spot on. If someone doesn't want to be your friend you need to move on. You can't force a relationship, you can't make someone like you, and it's high time Little Miss Sunshine grew up and realised this.
Maybe Rebecca does genuinely care about peoples perception of her. Maybe she really wants to forge close ties with everyone she meets, but it's just not realistic.
She is desperate for approval, desperate for acceptance and validation as a "good" person, she craves attention and affection and is just downright NEEDY!
I find it pathetic, but then I've never been one to give a rats arse what others think of me, so it's kind of hard to understand where she is coming from.
I wish she would just suck it up and get on with it. Tell Emma "Fuck you, it's your loss" and get OVER IT!
I can't stand needyknobs who bow and scrape and beg for attention, and then cry "nobody loves me, everybody hates me, think I'll go and eat worms" when they don't get it.

From Rebecca's diary room conversation with BB, it appears she is used to being the center of attention, the one people naturally "gravitate to", someone who has always been showered with positive re-enforcement, and this house, with these people, it's not happening.
In her own words; " I'm accepting and loving, I've never met with such opposition, people gravitate towards me. I've never felt like such a piece of crap. I just want to matter. When I speak, I want people to listen" WAH WAH!! Grow up!
I think this is what is fundamentally wrong with deeply religious people. They're not in the real world. They're so shielded and wrapped in cotton wool that any adversity, or negativity isn't handled well at all.

I can't have sympathy for her. I feel like grabbing her and giving her a good shake. She's how old and she's never met someone who didn't like her? Where has she been living all her life? In a fucking cave???

Moving on from her, Emma is another deluded freak. She constantly begins sentences by saying; I'm not being a bitch but......
I don't want to be nasty but.......
I'm not judging but...............
And then launches into some tirade against another hm where she WILL be nasty and bitchy and judgemental. She is so self absorbed and blinded to her own behaviour that it's hilarious to watch.
She took what Aleisha told her about the others talking about her as "bitching" when in fact they were all lamenting how hard it is to get to know her. Just another excuse for her to hate them.

By the way, I was really impressed with how Aleisha handled herself once she was out of Emma's shadow. There is some thinking going on inside that head of hers and she isn't as dumb and vapid as she appears.
I think if Emma were evicted we would see more of THAT side of her.

Noms tomorrow night, I'm tipping Sussanah, Zoran Emma to be up again. Demet will remove Emma and put Andrew in her place. What say you?

"Long ones, skinny ones, big, fat hairy ones, eat them and throw the skin away"

I never realised how suggestive that song is.

Yay. Demet gone... I could not stand her freaking voice anymore, maaaan.

Aliesha was almost... interesting without Emma's overbearing presence.

And what was with Emma's boyfriend?

Twin Cyborgs.

I wanted to punch Emma when she was talking to Demet in the gym, about how all the "fake" people suck up to you when you win FNG, and she said something like "And Susannah was all like 'I'm SO proud of you!' and I was like, fuck off! Everyone is all of a sudden your best friend because you won" (convo goes on for a little while, then she puts on her oh-so sincere voice)
"I just want to say that I REALLY hope everything works out for you and that you get to use your power, whatever happens"

I fucking hate those girls. Typical bitchface alpha-female who manipulates under the guise of "I'm so nice!". Grrrrrr. I know she's the only one stirring shit up, but I kinda wanted her evicted just so she'd see that people think she's a fuckwit.

Yeah, spot on Steph!

Interestingly though with the whole Demet nominations twist, when she was talking to Gretel she said that she thought that Emma would be the next to go. What does that mean? Did she not put Emma up high on her list to save? Did Demet not really like Emma after all? I am confused!

I agree that Hayley and Andrew ned to be split. Haylet seriously needs to chill out and relax!

I hope the Intruders are interesting or I might stop watching :(

Lala, I wish I could give you an award for comment of the day. "cyborgs" LMAO! So very true.

Amy, I agree about wanting to kick her out just to see her face. Last night she said "They can put me up for eviction every week, they forget it's the public that votes". Like what? You think you're popular out here? Good christ I wish she could see some of the comments on the forums.

LittleRene, Lets not push the panic button just yet. The intruders could spice it up. Fingers crossed.
I think Demet didn't realise what she said, because last night as she was writing the names down, she mumbled as well and Emma was second on her list after Aleisha.

Cazzie, Did you love Hayley's response? "Get your own life" WTF does that mean???

I agree ... Rebecca needs to get over her obsession with Emma.
My 8 year old daughter, (who thinks she is 18!!) says things like "oh Ayisha you look horrible in that shirt ..... no offence!!"
I nearly piss myself, she is such a bitch .... now when she starts her shit, I revert back to Emma! lol .....
I knew Demet would be gone..... gotta love the 'save' idea.... most of the young teenagers (and lonely men!!) want Emma to stay! Bit of eye candy!!

If only they could put Bodie back in as an intruder, now THAT would make the house WAY more exciting!!
I would love to see the looks on the faces of Haydrew if that happened.

I have to say it REALLY pisses me off the patronising way Gretel has made it obvious on eviction nights (Kate, Bodie, TJ & now Demet) that the public voting is not to her 'liking'. FFS woman ... we don't care if you and Chris Noble think the people we've evicted are the 'interesting' HM's - the majority of US think they are shit, and WE are the ones who give you your (falling ... haha) ratings and bring in the cash through the voting lines. So suck it up and smile, biatch !

That being said, Demet's ostensibly 'sealed twist' gives the production team the perfect chance to manipulate tonight's Noms process EXACTLY the way they see fit (let's face it - only a simpleton would believe Gretel's assertion that the envelope will remain 'sealed'/untampered till Noms).

Whether Demet's 'actual' Noms choice reflect what the production team want us to see or not is immaterial ... regardless, I agree with you Steph that we'll see Andrew or Hayley (or both) up for eviction because it's obvious Ghastly Gretel, Chris Noble and the rest have developed an 'anti-Haydrew' bias. Blah :-/ !

In her own words; " I'm accepting and loving, I've never met with such opposition, people gravitate towards me. I've never felt like such a piece of crap. I just want to matter. When I speak, I want people to listen" Is it that wrong to want ppl to listen to you? i mean, surely, we're all adults, Emma could atleast be courteuous and tolerate her. The only reason rebecca isn't liked by emma is she isn't pretty enough, simple as that.

I wouldn't mind seeing hayley go this week... the only thing the chick has going for her is her name ;)

Mellisa, Your daughter is cool. I wanna hang out with her!

Briony, I'd love that too. He was good for pushing people out of their comfort zones.

Disappearingboy, Do NOT slag off at my darling Gretski. I adore her!!!
I can't believe you're a HayDrew fan, I'm so dissapointed in you! But not suprised really.
;)

Hayley, Her name is ALL she had going for her. I'll give her that much. Too bad she's gonna be gone next week. I wanted to hear the boos as she went on stage.
