Eviction Number 2. Bodie And Tj

Well no surprises there. Australia has once again voted with emotion rather than sense. Most voters seem to like the "punishment" vote, which inevitably means the loudest, the most obnoxious and opinionated HM's get the arse first. People seem to want to take the big personalities down a peg or two and their only weapon is to vote them out. Once they're gone however, they see the damage it does to house dynamics but it's too late. You'd think after seven seasons, people would wake up and not repeat the same mistake over and over again.

So what if certain HM's are annoying, big mouth, arrogant twats! WE don't have to live with them, and really only have to put up with them on our screens for a few minutes each night. What you have to remember is that the big personalities are the ones that cause the drama, the ones that create situations others would try to avoid, the ones who force the quiet ones out of their comfort zones, the ones who MAKE THINGS HAPPEN!
What we are often then left with, is a house where no growth can take place, because nobodies buttons are being pushed, nobody is being forced to confront issues about themselves or others and it's plain boring.

I'm so disappointed that Tj went, and also surprisingly dismayed that Bodie got the boot as well.
I had a change of heart about Bodie over the weekend, and decided to throw a few SAVE votes his way because I realised, that yes he was a prick, yes he was an immature brat, but at the end of the day he was being HIMSELF. He wasn't trying to fly under the radar, he stood up for himself and refused to change to please others, he stood his ground and that, I have to begrudgingly admire about the guy.

Gretel likened him to a "lovable rogue" and while that was debatable her other comparison to him being "The Bart Simpson" of the house was more apt. Love him or hate him, he got a reaction from people, and that is why he was a good HM. It's the ones that you feel little or nothing for that are a waste of space.

I firmly believe that if they changed the voting to make it purely vote to save's that count, the larger personalities would remain in the house a lot longer, and the ones flying under the radar or "playing the game" would find themselves in all kinds of trouble.

The way it stands, the house always loses the "out there" personalities first, and it really is to it's detriment.

Losing TJ was no surprise. I knew that the teenie girls would get her out, and get her out fast. The same way that Emma will be gone the very first time she's up for eviction.
There is a very large voting demographic out there that does not like good looking, outspoken, bitchy women to last long in the game. Again, much to the detriment of the show.

TJ, is still totally deluded about the whole "relationship" deal with Bodie, and I really feel for him in the coming weeks as they will be joined at the hip doing their promo rounds. Can you imagine when chicks start to hit on him in clubs? Tj will go ballistic!
It was interesting to hear her comment that the thing worrying her most about Bodie being in the house and her out of it, was him "getting close to Emma" while she was gone. And that she "just wants to be loved".
Bodie is in all kinds of trouble now. He may have to take out a restraining order. Haahahaha!!

The only big surpise for me tonight was seeing the Fembot, aka Emma, crying when Bodie was evicted. That is the first time she has shown any emotion in the house, and I think it was more for the fact that she had lost a core member of the "A Team" as Bodie likened them, than the fact that she will actually miss him.

Emma is playing this game as hard as HayDrew (Hayley and Andrew) she's running around recruiting members for her cause, and sticking the knives in left and right while at the same time condemning HayDrew for doing the exact same thing.
Prior to last nights streaming and today's daily show, I really didn't think she was playing to win, but having seen how hard she is working to build up a posse, there can be only one explanation for it. She wants to win.

I know people will say that Bodie/Tj were annoying to watch, and at times they were, but you have to realise what they gave to the show was so much bigger than what they took away from it. I would sooner watch a house full of Bodie's and Tj's than one filled with Rebecca's and Hayley's.

Bodie and TJ were like big fat Cactus plants in a bed of roses. They were ugly, prickly and harsh, but boy did they stand out amongst those roses, and we'll remember them a lot longer than the roses in that garden. Awww, what an analogy. I'm fucking poetic so I am!! Haaaaaa!

Nominations tomorrow night and I'm tipping Emma, Hayley and Demet, to find themselves in hot water.
Andrew will most definately save Hayley, and probably put Zoran in his place.

I wonder what will happen if andrew AND hayley are up?

I'm with you Steph. I was not at all surprised that they both got the chop, but i think the house will be a lot poorer for it.

Poorer in terms of the excitement that they brought to the house.

But you know what Bodie has contributed to? The tension that now exists in the house. It's fan-fucking-tastic.

Demet and Zoran have taken on HayDrew and it's awesome to watch. I liked Andrew at first, but now I just think he's a fucking arrogant arsehole. He thinks he's above other people and has some sort of authority. The fact he has a partnership with Hayley gives him an advantage in the house which no-one else has the ability of matching.

So, maybe B and TJ are gone, but I think the house is going to remain tense and exciting for a while yet.

I want everyone to be nominated one week soon to see what happens. I think Haydrew are in danger of getting the boot. Hell yes.

Public. Get rid of Hayley, Andrew, Emma and Nick (the sook)

LisaJane, I think Andrew would do the "honourable" thing and remove Hayley.

Mick, How good is it tonight?? Zoran and Demet have gone straight for the jugular on Andrew and he is stuttering and stammering and shitting his pants.

"haydrew" I like referring to them them as "ana(y)ley"

Hayley and her self rightuous attitude really shit me, her big "There's a reason Billy is my ex boyfriend.." speech last night where she said to Andrew that she doesn't want to talk to Billy, shows just what kind of a bitch she is to Andrew, because before Billy went into the house he was asked when the last time he spoke to Hayley was and he said that it was a few weeks before big brother when he was still in Canada, and he said that Andrew didn't know about it. Not a good secret to have. If there's nothing to hide, don't hide it.
I hope both Andrew and Hayley are up for eviction and Andrew gets kicked out, I'd love to see Hayley implode without her lapdog and everyone else hating the bitch.

They should just stop the 15 yr old female vote and there wouldn't be a problem...they are the reasons guys win this and Aust Idol. They are also the reason that live feed is probably scensoerd after the Turkey slap thing last year. I liked TJ she was 'explosive' and a damned good arguer...she nevr let anyone have the last word or any word for that matter lol

Hey Steph, love the blog but I have to respond to something you say above though.

You state "but you have to realise what they gave to the show.......", maybe it could possibly be because of what they gave to the show that they were voted out? I admit that in the first couple of weeks Bodie was quite amusing but his brand of self-absorbed self-amusement has a very short shelf life and soon became just plain annoying to watch.

I live in the UK and a few of us get together twice a week to watch all the episodes that we've downloaded. Today (Sunday) we watched from Wednesdays Golden Key to the Eviction and we ALL wanted no more of Bodie. In our opinion it had got to the stage where he was spoiling the show. I think that TJ had a lot more entertainment left in her as she is clearly two sandwiches short of a picnic (Boy, that girl has a screw loose somewhere!), but I have to applaude the Australian people for making the show much more watchable by evicting Bodie. I for one don't want to waste my time watching an arrogant, spoilt little mummy's boy.

I totally agree with your comments on Emma the fembot, she is playing the "game" more than anyone. As a hetero male I have to ask... is she what passes as hot in Oz? Yes she's tall & slim, but if you replaced her blonde hair with black she'd look like she should be sat with two of her sisters throwing "wing of bat & eye of newt" into a cauldron!! She could pick up litter with that nose! As for the boobs, personally I prefer natural girls whatever their cup size over silicon enhanced, feel like rubber falsies.

By the way, I was a little concerned when Bodie's Evict/Save scores didn't appear to tally, and just pray that Endemol aren't planning an "oh, there was a mistake in the voting calculations and we're going to reinstate Bodie" tactic. Did anyone else get the feeling that we were being set up for something like that?

Anyhooo, thanks again for providing a really fun & interesting BB Blog.

Love from the UK

Dex

TJ was always going to go but I was a bit surprised at Bodie. TJ is a bunny boiler and a nutcase.

I hope Demet is up and out. She told her 'crew' that she doesn't think Nick is really a nurse and straight away Emma & Aliesha started drilling him with all sorts of Medical questions.

I'm am the type of person you hate when it comes to BB evictions. I wanted TJ and Bodie OUT OUT OUT! Mainly because i don't want them to win money. I totally see what you mean about taking the interesting people out of the house, blah blah, but to me, it just isn't reality. Not much of it is reality, well it's not my reality. The way Bodie treats ppl is disgusting, he has the right to have his opinions, but he needs to be aware of the consequences of his actions. Things that he might say or do can hurt ppl but he just couldn't give a shit.

I wouldn't have minded TJ staying a little longer, she's a very confused little girl. i feel sorry for her more than anything.

As for Bodie, good riddens, i hope his 15 minutes is up already!

Freya, I'm guessing Andrew is in for a few shocks when he gets out and see the footage. For a lawyer, she's not very good with the truth is she.

Scorpy, I don't think you can blame the teenies for Bodie being gone. I think he would have been a firm favourite amongst them. TJ yes, and they'll get rid of Emma the same way.

DJDexter, Helllooo my pommy friend! Are you watching the live streams or just the daily show?

I agree with your points somewhat, however, what I meant by what he brought to the house, is not HIM personally. I meant, his stirring and annoying people was good value and forced others out of their comfort zones. As a person he was a twat and no mistake! But his ability to stir things up will be missed. IMO.

Linda, I saw that last night. She has an evil side for sure!

Hayley, bend over so i can smack you!!! Stop voting on emotion!!!!
GAH!!

Dissapearingboy, I did see your comment and approve it but it's gone missing somewhere in the ether. Sorry bout that but blogger is a cunt!
I'm gonna disagree with you all season. I just know it!!!
I'm off to buy some boxing gloves.

As usual, we're gonna disagree a bit on this one, Stephy :) TJ getting booted = bad - I agree with you on that one.

Bodie getting the boot though = good, in my book. I guess I just don't like watching immature morons, for the sake of 'spicing up' the show overall.

I've gotta disagree with Mick here too - I don't think Andrew is arrogant. He's older, more mature, and has more life experience than someone like Bodie or Aleisha; so I think he's well within his rights to expect a bit of respect from some of the younger HM's.

That's the problem with Gen-Y though - they just don't know how to respect their fekking betters ;-P

Hmmm, I was hoping you'd mention something about TJ's interview in the eviction show last night....

I was in the other room and only half listening but I think heard TJ say about Bodie "and he's a great f**k" or something similar... and then Gretel tried to fob it off saying "she doesn't actually know that, she just threw that in there"

Did that actually happen??

M said...

oh god I hated that Bodie so much it hurt. I laughed my head off when he left - laughed even more at his goodbye message. I was a bit disappointed that TJ left though. Would have loved the yawntastic Zoran to leave instead of her. I'm kind of attracted to slight speech impediments (I know, weird) but Zoran's stuttering is driving me completely bonkers - he really needs to go. ugh.

Since Bodie only really appeals to teenage girls (and bloody cradle snatchers like Gretel) I'm surprised he left actually. Isn't that the prime demographic for those who vote on BB?

Loved the post show OMGdrama fighting last night. Hilarious!

Nah. I am glad Bodie's gone.

He is an irritating little prick and I cannot stand to watch the little fucker anymore.

AND CAN FUCKING DEMET OPEN HER FUCKING MOUTH WHEN SHE SPEAKS IN THE FUTURE?

Steph said...

Dissapearing boy, Every good drama needs a villian! You're an emotive voter! GAH!

Jac, She did indeed say that. The horror!

M, I'm suprised the teenies didn't save Bodie. just goes to prove that not all voters are teens. P.S I VOTE like a whore!! Hooray!

Lala, What do you mean, man. Like, man, don't stress, man!! I wanna smack her upside her head.

Steph, to paraphrase Ridge Rogue from the Bigbrother Chaos site (which is my own fave BB site); "I know that viewers will not watch the show if the more boisterous characters remain in the house. We all get enough of those types of annoying people elsewhere, so the last scenario we need is to escape to the land of television only to see more of these imbeciles."

I'm not an emotive voter, I'm just doing what Ghastly Gretel, and the producers of the show keep telling me to do - "vote to create the house you want to watch" :-) Yeah, at this rate we'll probably be tangling swords all season. You know I heart you though - in a strictly non-sexual, alas I'm married kinda way hehe
