It's A Bitchfest! HM's playing "The Game"

Well it's only been two weeks and already that old chestnut "You're playing the game" is being bandied about. This claim always amazes me. Have they never watched the show? For some HM's it's like a complete shock to realise that some people are in there to win. It is a game show after all, there will only be one winner. But for the majority, BB becomes their reality, it's their whole world, and to feel that some of them aren't being genuine, or are thinking strategically is like a slap in the face.

Last night Bodie made the comment to Hayley that he would "Like her better if she wasn't playing the game". Hayley was affronted and over reacted to what appeared to be a comment made in jest. So his comment seems to have some credibility, judging by her reaction. She gave weight to it, by reacting the way she did.

From the OS diary;
Hayley storms into the Bedroom angry at a comment Bodie made to her outside. She tells the others she wants to tell BB: “to put adults in the house.” “He’s throwing allegations at people all of a sudden,” she says. In front of the group outside Bodie told Hayley he thought he could get along better with her if she wasn’t playing the game. She says: “He’s a weak bastard. Back it up is all I said.” “First of all we know he’s the larrikin and entertainer,” TJ says, adding: “Don’t even let it affect you.” “He’s ignorant of the fact he affects other people,” Hayley says. Andrew says: “The main thing in this house is you’ve got to remain strong.” “The advantage in this house, is we’ve got each other,” Andrew tells her. The other HMs leave the room while the pair chat. Andrew says: “This isn’t all about Bodie and you know it, Bodie shouldn’t affect you.” “It’s a big game and he’s losing,” Andrew tells her, adding: “You are you, and I know you’re being you, and he doesn’t see that because he’s a loud person who doesn’t see the other side.” “I think part of it is missing your family,” Andrew says to her: “One little thing like this doesn’t normally set you off.” Soon Jamie, Susannah and Thomas have joined them. Hayley says: ”What sort of person makes people feel better because he’s feeling down? Who is getting in a relationship to save himself? And I would have said it, but TJ was around.” Hayley talks about Billy saying: “In the last 24 hours I’ve been sickened by the person I’ve seen Billy become. I’ve lost so much respect from him. He’s not being himself.” “I find comfort in the fact his mother would have seen it,” she adds. Susannah says: “I don’t think he’s being malicious.” “He’ll come to me later because he’s not all that cocky stuff he makes out,” Hayley says. Andrew tells her: “I think he came in with high opinions of himself and they were shattered in seven or eight days.”

Maybe she was just having an off day, and Bodie's comment rubbed her the wrong way, whatever the reason, she became very defensive and upset. Notice however that Andrew makes mention of "playing the game" and Sussanah also believes Bodie's 'interest' in TJ is a strategic move.

This from the live streams- 9.15
Zoran, Billy and Travis are chatting outside. Zoran said he has heard Hayley's side and wants to hear Bodie's. Bodie says it started because of the way she was looking at me, she had a go at Billie she doesn't like the way he acts with Bodie. She thinks Billy is always talking about her. Bodie says his comment shouldn't have been taken seriously.

Andrew and Hayley are in the lounge. Andrew is trying to calm her down and is telling her it's not worth speaking to anyone in the house other than Travis or maybe Thomas. They will turn on you. Don't get close that's how you play the game. Hayley says I don't want to play, Andrew says We do want to play that's why we are here. Hayley says she doesn't want to be here, Andrew says Bodie might be gone in a couple of days and your time here will improve. Andrew says Emma will be somewhere listening and take all this back to Bodie. Hayley says I don't care I wouldn't say anything I wouldn't say to his face. Andrew is now warning her about Kate as she may be leaving this week. He says Hayley has to be aware that everyone is in this house for themselves.

Hayley now is crying because Rebecca hasn't been to talk to her, Andrew tells her to wait, Rebecca is dealing with her own stuff now. Don't take it personally don't take anything in here personally. Every night we can go to bed snuggling and that's more than anyone else in here can have.

Hayley is saying she can't believe Billy. Andrew says Your not here to give a shit about other people.

Kate joins them. Kate says you don't have to be upset about anything. Kate took it as a joke. Hayley says if he meant it that way he should have been a bigger man and come and said that. Hayley says I am just not used to it, Andrew says but that's the reason we are here, to learn more about ourselves, Hayley says and other people. Zoran has now joined them. Andrew is saying half the people in here on the outside you would have nothing to do with.

What I don't get is why is it soooo bad to be seen to be "playing the game". If by "playing the game" they mean changing their behaviour to stay in the house longer, and ultimately, win the prize, then so what?
Personally, I don't think it would be humanly possible to keep up a charade for three months anyway, but in the early stages I think most of the HM's censor themselves a little so as not to step on toes and get early nomination points.

Hayley would be more paranoid than most because of her early 'deceptions' with the whole love triangle thing. She's more conscience of how the others perceive her, and aware that they might not be as trusting. Plus, Bodie can argue that the very existence of the 'love triangle' meant Hayley and Andrew were in effect 'playing the game' from day 1.

The other bitchfest last night involved TJ and Rebecca. These two girls despise each other and it was actually very refreshing to see Little Miss Sunshine, aka- The Stormin Mormon, let loose with how she really feels.

TJ had this to say to Travis about Rebecca, and as much as I hate TJ, I think she's pretty much on the money.

TJ- She has a poor me attitude. Any kind of conversation, she turns it inwardly to a situation or experience SHE'S had, where it's been a sad or negative experience of some type. Me, me, me,me....
With a lot of her "lets play a game" attempts, they're less trying to regroup the team and more trying to get the focus on her. It's like she'll start to explain a game and even when she loses the interest of the group and hasn't won over the crowd to play the game, If one person is looking at her or paying attention, she'll continue to explain the game to that person just for the sake of it.
Travis- I feel sorry for her
TJ- That's exactly what she wants. Where she's going wrong is not prying into other peoples lives. She just tells hers.

Now, lets hear what Rebecca has to say about TJ. She's in the chill out room with Demet, and if they show it on the daily show, you have to watch. It's hilarious. From the live streams- 12.56am
Rebecca- When Bodie was a non hm she (tj) goes " Oh it's so cruel, so cruel" and we're all sitting there going, yeah, it's cruel, whatever, it's happening to him not you. It's all about her and I was like, what the?
This is why I don't get her. One day she's all sweet and nice, the next minute she's BAM!
She prides herself on her attitude and her body and her sex symbol (?)
Demet- Sex symbol? She's like a rack.
Rebecca- Fair enough we all walk around in our undies, but we don't parade. She wears her little g-string and singlet and that's all she wears around, and fair enough, whatever, that's your choice to do that but it's really weird. It's for attention.
When Hayley first came in, there was a discussion that got really grotty. We don't need to talk about personal stuff, how long do you have sex and anal stuff, and Hayley walked away. TJ comes in and goes "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the frying pan, and don't blame us if you can't handle it". And she was being so dismissive of peoples feelings and I'm like, It's a group environment, we need to consider everyone's feelings, social conscience, SNAP! (Weird head wobble and snapping fingers, so odd you have to see it)
This is me being very bitchy right now and I don't normally, but she's the one person I'm having the most difficult time with.

I honestly believe she is using her body, and sex, trying to appeal to Bodie in order for her to stay in the game longer, as if it's a relationship and people like to watch them "get it on" (weird voice). She's playing mind games with him.

Did you hear what she said about Kara? She said, 'I was gonna walk if she came in'.
Who the hell are you?
You know what she said? She used to shower naked and she said when BB started taking away the food, 'I took away the nakedness. I used what power I had. If he's not gonna be good to me, I'm not gonna be good to him". She thought honestly, that being naked was her gift to BB. The visual pleasure. Demet- Poor girl.
Rebecca- She has a good body. Good for her. She's trying to teach me yoga. I know yoga. I can bend myself into a pretzel, I just don't wanna do it. She does in on purpose to be seen.

She said to you, "you've got some weird stuff" (about Demet's clothes) and I'm like, who cares?
We lose ourselves so often in what the crowd wants, and at the moment, I think she's a bit of a crowd person.

Once again, "the game" is mentioned. It's early days, but people are not trusting and suspicious of each others motives.
TJ seems at times to be really intelligent and observant, yet at the same time, her psychotic behaviour paints a very complex picture. She has sunk her claws well and truly into Bodie, yet I honestly don't think it's a strategic move, I think she is one of those women that just NEED male attention. If you watch her interacting with Bodie, she lights up, she positively glows, and basks in his attention. When he directs that attention elsewhere, she clouds over and ol scary eyes appears.
It's the same with her interactions with the females, she has to be the center of attention and resents any female stealing her thunder. Her dislike of Rebecca is odd. Rebecca is no threat whatsoever to her. Yes, she's annoying but TJ doesn't like Rebecca's attempts at getting the HM's to play games, she believes it's self serving behaviour, attention seeking behaviour. Something she herself is guilty of.

Lets hope they all get drunk after FNL games tonight and the claws come out. I wanna see a scrag fight!!!
