Eviction #6! A Double Whammy And Intruder Alert.

So Queen Emma got the arse. No surprises there even though I wasted hundreds of my employers money voting to save the biatch!!! Gah!

She took it out by a landslide, not quite beating Michael's eviction record of last year but still had a massive 76% of the vote, even after the save votes were factored in.
It's no secret she polarised people. She was without doubt one of the most hated HM's BB has ever seen, yet at the same time, she added so much to the show just by her dominance, backbiting and bitching.

Of course with her inevitable eviction came the Emma Dilemma. How to handle the death of her father.
From the official website, we have this.

Emma's Evicted: Statement from Big Brother Producers

DAY 50 21:19

STATEMENT FROM BIG BROTHER PRODUCERS, ENDEMOL SOUTHERN STAR

Because Housemate Emma had been nominated and faced possible eviction tonight, last night, with the full support of her family, Emma was told in private that her estranged father had passed away.

Her brother Matt conveyed this news to Emma in the company of Big Brother’s resident psychologist.

That meeting will remain private.

Big Brother has taken advice from the psychologist, with the full support of Emma’s family, that she be told of her father’s death last night so that she would have time to process the news in the event she was evicted tonight.

Big Brother also wanted to ensure Emma had sufficient time to consider whether she wished to go on stage with Gretel during tonight’s Live Eviction show.

Emma was offered counselling and was given the option to leave the house immediately if she wished.

She chose to stay and will again meet with the psychologist and her family tonight.

Fans will recall that Emma’s late father and her family had requested that she not be informed of her father’s passing.

Big Brother was unaware that Emma’s father had passed away until several days after his funeral.

Big Brother understands the concern the public has expressed for Emma’s welfare.

This has been a very difficult situation in which there has

been no perfect answer.

Big Brother has held Emma’s best interests paramount at all times and in doing so has drawn on the advice of the people best placed to give it – her family.

Like all Emma’s supporters, Big Brother looks forward to hearing Emma tell her own story.

I think the whole situation was handled very professionally, and with the utmost respect for Emma's family and her well being. She didn't have to go on stage with Gretel tonight, she could have in fact left the house last night, but she CHOSE to stay, and she chose to carry on with the eviction show, so I hope those gutter snipes at TT and ACA will take that into account when they register their moral outrage.

Anyone watching the live streams today would have known that Emma had been told. She was noticeably absent for most of the day, very subdued, in bed a lot and had a very puffy face from crying. It was much more than just eviction nerve
s, so it could only have been the news of her fathers passing.

BB's decision to make this a double eviction AND to throw in the two new intruders was a stroke of genius. It totally switches focus from Emma and her tragedy and gives everyone other things to talk about.

Still on Emma's eviction, she was still visibly shaken by all she had experienced, and I think Gretel did the right thing by being gentle with her and not pushing the "manipulation/backstabber" line. I'm sure she'll get enough of that over the coming days, but from the little she could garner from the footage and audience reaction I'm very sure she know's how she has been portrayed and a few times she actually looked a tad shocked at the audience reactions to the clips being shown.
I even felt a little sorry for her.

The best part for me was seeing Rebecca evicted too. How pai
nful is that going to be for Emma!! I'm sure there isn't a bigger punishment for her deplorable behaviour in the house. The dreaded 'twist' struck again, and the holy one was out the door. Yayyyyyyyyyyyy!!
Rebecca was OFF the wall, and being her annoying best on stage tonight. I was so gutted that the "Saint Rebecca" spiel was pushed, because you could see her growing a halo as the clips rolled on with the pious comments and tawdry platitudes she dribbled.
The only time she earned any respect from me was admitting on stage, in front of Rebecca that Emma was her least favourite person in the house. That w
as GOLD! But I figure having seen the evict percentages, she knew she had the audience support on that one.

So two girls exit the building and two new ones enter. That's no typo, Zack is more of a girl than most girls I know!
The flamboyant corset designer will hit the house like a Molotov cocktail and I can't wait.

Michelle, who entered the house tonight, is a 33 year old mum of one, and the biggest bogan since Reggie! I think she's hilarious and her energy and vigour is exactly what the house needs.
Can you imagine the conversations between her and Travis? We'll need subtitles I'm sure.

The other important thing from tonight's show, was Laura having a meltdown over her racking up fines and the other HM's "attacking" her over it.
This girl is a walking contradiction. To look at her and see her behaviour, she's like a hormonal teenage girl. She's petulant, bratty, and childish, but at the same time she's tremendously courageous the way she stood up to the whole group and she mad
e a compelling, intelligent argument. Yes she should have said sorry and copped it on the chin, but she was backed into a corner with nobody on her side and I can totally understand her need to defend herself.
Her statement that had it been Andrew, Aleisha, Emma or Billy racking up the fines, nobody would have said BOO about it, let alone started a big debate, was spot on.
As an intruder, and an outspoken one at that, she's an easy target and the HM's tried to put her in her place.
She IS a sook, and a whinger, but at the same time, she's very perceptive and observant and she has most of those HM's pegged.
Good on her I say. I highly doubt any of them will take her on again.

Nominations tomorrow night and I think Daniella and Laura will be facing the firing squad probably with Jamie too. If that's the case, I think Andrew would save Jamie and put Aleisha in his place.
That's my tip for what it's worth.

The following week is going to be very interesting in the house. I'm dying to see how Aleisha copes without her mentor and what effect Emma's leaving has on the house dynamics.
Stay tuned!

I thought Laura was brilliant. She spoke pure truth in front of the housemates. To cover their shame and humiliation, they ignored the chance to become enlightened and sought to return blame as soon as her back was turned. Andrew, Aleisha, and Emma were despicable. For the first time I saw what a wretch Emma was. I thought she was playing the game well, and thought her mischievousness was fun, but what a malicious octopus she truly was - with tentacles manipulating her little puppets.

Laura has become my hero for refusing to be a sheep and standing against the mob.

With Emma now gone, I fear the show will degenerate into a Jamie & Kate soapie like last year, but this time starring Aleisha and Billy. I hope Aleisha is therefore nominated on Monday night.

Bkeela, agree 100%, for someone so young she showed the others how to stand up and be counted.

I agree on Laura's courage to standing up to the 'sheep'. But it doesnt draw away from the fact that she's a winey little toad. I just want to slap consistently negative people. Is the house making her nagative? Sure, probably. In that case, I can say I dont like the person she is, in the house. Snivelling and shoulder chips spring to mind.

Man, Michelle is a fucking scream! Insanely so. Im not sure how much I'd think that being confined to a house with her but what whirlwind pot of crazy she is. Very funny to watch thus far. I like watching Joels reactions to her too.

Zack is missing Scissor Sister isn't he? It'll be interesting watching him come out of his shell. He's such a shy thing isnt he? *grin*
