Hooray!!, I've raced home from the most excellent eviction partay to update my blog because I feared if I stayed there another second longer there would be no post at all. I was on the way to Drunk-O and it wouldn't have been pretty. ;)
I predicted that Travis and Billy would get the arse tonight and I have never been so happy to be right.

The place where I was just erupted when Travis name was called, and as soon as Gretski announced that the voting lines were open, mobile phones went into meltdown as most of the people around me voted to SAVE ZACH!
What is it about this boy that has just captivated Australia? Young, old, gay, straight, everybody is just in love with him, and it's amazing the amount of positive energy that is expelled by everyone who talks about him. He's just delightful and has a very, VERY good chance of winning BB07.
Tonight's eviction show was the most enjoyable one I've seen all year. The housemates interaction with Big Brother at "the last supper" was entertaining, Gretel was being pleasant and there were tear jerker moments all around when she interviewed the fathers of the remaining housemates. It's safe to say all four of them come from loving, caring, wonderful homes and the producers must have been breathing a huge sigh of relief after last years Turkeyslap scandal.
The only real downside was the daily show. As lovely as the remaining housemates are, they couldn't be more dull unless they were pushing up daisies in the local cemetery. With the exception of Zach, who never ceases to raise a smile or giggle in me, the others should have been checked for vital signs. Without a doubt this has been THE most boring final week in BB history, and if the show resumes next year, I hope to sweet Jebus they chose more HM's like Zach and dare I say it, Aleisha, and less like Travis and Billy. Are you paying attention BB??? Take some notes, you've been asleep at the wheel!!
Billy's eviction package was FULL of footage of himself and Aleisha, and he really should thank her, because without her he would have been gone weeks ago.
Travis made it so far by being the "genuine Aussie good guy" and even though I really believe that IS him, he's not acting, I was happy to see him evicted and know that Australia could appreciate that but want something more from it's BB winner.
So, the two finalists are Aleisha and Zach, and it really is going to be an uphill battle to get Zach across the finish line.
Aleisha has a HUGE support base and even though most of her fans like Zach too, she's got that old chestnut, the "hard yards" card up her sleeve and many long time viewers would think it "fairer" or more just if an "original" housemate won it.
The other problem Zach is facing is voting fatigue. His fans have voted so hard to save him from sudden death evictions for two weeks in a row so I just hope they don't get too complacent or battle weary from voting. Don't laugh, look what happened last year!!
It seems like such a struggle to get the person you want to stay to the final, that when the final comes around and you really only have less than 24 hours to vote, people do slacken off.
So, my dear sweet Diary Room inhabitants, even you ones lurking in the corners, it's time to whip out your phones and sent a few SAVE votes Zach's way. I don't think evict votes for Aleisha will work, I really think it will come down to who has the most save votes in the end.
It's been a tough few weeks but Australia NEEDS Zach to win this. Big Brother NEEDS Zach to win this. This is our only way to shake things up and to send a clear message to the producers of this show, to tell them the type of person we want in our BB houses, and send a message that no more pot plants will be rewarded for their under the radar skills.

We can do this people!!! For the LAST time, I'm asking you to sms ZACH to 192tsave, as many times as you can afford to, or till your fingers drop off. Either/or :P
nb- I won't be updating till Tuesday as I've been invited to a shin dig with some hard core Zachistans in Sydney's gay mecca, Oxford St. Depending on how hung over I am, I'll report back on Tuesday, so keep those fingers texting till I return.

I'm with ya all the way on this one Steph. Pure gold ! It seemed like a bit of a 'given' that Billy would be going, especially if the audience's reaction to Gretle's prompting was anything to go by (for once, it was a coherent scream of "Billy" to her first question of "who do you think is going tonight", instead of the usual heteroglot voices), but I still breathed a sigh of relief when his name was called out. Even more so when Trav-O got the arse.
Speaking of Trav-O - how cringeworthy were some part of his interraction with Gretle, especially his response to the question "What did you fantasise about in the house ?" Obviously, the metero-trucker took that one all to literally. The media are gonna have their hands full with "the romo one" :)

I was voting the minute the lines opened last night- although, at the end of the show, Perth time (so about 11pm East Coast time), I got a message saying the voting lines were now offline.

Amanda, voting furiously today too, but you know, I wouldn't be THAT cut if Aleisha won, even though it's Zach who we want to bring it home.
I love both of these people and I cannot decide who should win..I think they are ACE!!
Yeah, that's how I feel about it. Love for Zach to win, but I don't mind Aleisha post Fembot's departure, so wouldn't be too cut if it was her instead.
It will be interesting to see what occurs over the next few days in regards to Network 10 investigating the Final BB07 Australia votes.
It appears pretty strange to me that 100's of people are complaining on various BB Australia 07 forums on the net that their votes to save Zach didn't register.
Did Zach get shafted? Who knows - but he certainly doesn't deserve too. It seems pretty clear (when you run searches online) that Zach could've easily sailed past Aleshia with "save" votes. There's certainly a heck of lot of "save Zach" voters frustrated with the BB07 Final voting lines.
