Final Nominations Show & Gretel is BACK!

Finally, last night, the Gretel I once knew and loved was back to her best. No evil sneers, no bitchy comments, just pure, professional, Gretski of old. About time too! I don't know who slipped her the happy pills, but can they do it again next week?

Last night was also the final nominations show and funnily enough it was devoid of nominations. The hapless housemates instead had to say who they wanted to win Big Brother and who they did NOT. The footage was then shown to the housemates. I love these types of mind games and believe this type of "twist" is much better than any elaborate plot or plan that BB usually comes up with.

The look on the hm's faces when the footage was shown was hilarious. Billy looked shocked and angry, Travis looked regretful before his comments were even aired, Aleisha hid behind a pillow and our boy Zach looked amused at first and then very sad as he realised yet again he was relegated to the role of mere intruder and not worthy amongst the "originals" to even still be there.

Aleisha was the first to 'nominate' and she chose Travis as a winner due to his "genuine" character. She then stated that Zach shouldn't win because he "came in later, wasn't an original" and hadn't "gone through" as much as the other HM's in regards to the length of time they've been away from family and friends. She said others were "more deserving".

I'm sick to my back teeth of this reasoning. Zach had to go through just as much as they did. He had the full audition process and then he had to wait on tender hooks for weeks to find out if he was going in as an intruder or not. He had to come into an established house, where alliances and allegiances had already been formed, and try to forge a place for himself KNOWING all the while that he was easy pickings and probably wouldn't make it through the first nominations. He has had it JUST as hard as the others and like N one of my readers stated in the comments section, he's been in there longer than some of the originals who were voted out earlier so isn't he just as much a housemate now as the others?
Aleisha had earlier in the day told Zach "It would be good to see an intruder go through". Of course she meant through to the final few but NOT win it.

Billy was up next and chose Travis as the one he would like to win. He cited Travis' family man status and "good guy" persona as a reason for winning, and of course chose Zach as who he didn't want to win.
What REALLY got up my nose about this one was Billy saying others were "more deserving as we've been here since day one and it's been a long and hard process''.

Fucking WHAT???
Billy is not even a legitimate housemate in my eyes. An intruder has more claim to be there over an invited guest and that's all he was! This twat didn't audition, he came in two days later riding on the back of HayDrew. He's hardly done the "hard yards". How dare he say Zach is less deserving when at least Zach didn't get a free ride on to the show. Gormless dolt!

Travis was next and I wanted to slap him in the forehead with my slipper. He was emphatic that he does NOT WANT TO WIN. Please voting public, do not waste your money saving this brainless dullard. He doesn't want to win, he's there for the "experience" so let him have an eviction "experience" this weekend.
He chose Aleisha to win, stating "She come a bloody long way and is a bloody good person".
He also said Zach shouldn't win because "he hasn't withstood the time and journey"?? the others had and "hadn't been there long enough".

BAH!

Zach's turn saw him declare he'd like Aleisha to win as she's "infectious (bahaha) adorable, and it's high time Australia celebrated a different type of character" and because she's a girl. He then nominated Travis as someone he didn't want to win because Australia has celebrated "the alpha, ocker male" enough.

The look on Travis face when he saw that comment was one of barely controlled anger. His face went red and his eyes flashed for the first time, before he reigned it in and tried to make light of the whole situation, as he played his "Mr happy sunshine" role to the hilt!

The upshot of the whole event was that all the HM's now know where they stand with each other and no amount of bullshit can cover that up. They all saw and heard how they feel about each other and it will be an interesting week keeping that in mind.

The other event last night was the interviews Gretel did with the HM's. I thought she was wonderful. She was warm, engaging and entertaining. Well done Gretski!

I loved her chat with Aleisha. Aleisha came across very genuine, articulate and intelligent. She was honest and open and very warm.
Billy appeared nervous and a little guarded but came off ok I thought.
Travis was an absolute JOKE. Is there some serious mental issue with this guy? He gibbered and jabbered like a halfwit on speed! He barely made any sense and just blathered on like a twit. If this is how he behaves in a little room with Gretel, how on earth will he handle his media commitments outside the house???
Zach as usual was just adorable. He's so warm, witty, genuine and just bursting with vibrancy and personality. He is going to do so well out of this whole experience whether he wins it or not.

This week my darling readers, lurkers and commenter's, we must step up our campaign to save his gorgeous arse from eviction. It's going to be a very tough slog against the likes of the Billeisha and Travo fans, but we proved last week that it can be done.
I'm asking you if you vote to send only SAVE votes for Zach, I think if we try to send evict votes for the others it's going to cause a split vote and the numbers may go against us. So once again, if you only send ONE make it a SAVE VOTE for ZACH.

His conversation with Aleisha yesterday shows that he really does not expect to stay and was totally baffled by the support he seems to have.

Aleisha- People wanted you to stay
Zach- I don't know how to deal with that, I've never had that in my life.
Billy- What's that? That people wanted you to stay?
Zach- People giving me support, I've never had that in my life, it's just weird, what do you say to that?"

Keep the support going. It's time to up the ante in our quest for Zach to win BBO7!!
