News just in- An undisclosed source (but credible. I checked the email provider) has told me that calls are in the process of being made now for the first round of housemates. Those called will then have their publicity stills and video grabs filmed just after Easter.
Believe it or NOT. At this point I don't care a jot! This is purely RUMOUR at this stage, so don't flog me with emails or pm's on BBBA. It's all I know right now!!!!

Once again BB has chosen all the beautiful clones same as every year.even a 65 y.o. woman has auditioneed and we pitty the person sharing her bed (accidents happen) A large bed will be shared by all this year,
BB was accused of lying to contestants with a promise of the top 50 making it through to auditions the real numbers were approx 200 people going to group auditions around aus. a lot of different people were called apon this year but with BB wanting to turn things around as this will quite possiblly be the last BB producers asked for more choice and invited people after sending scouts out on the streets. this however has shown that BB has NO intentions of changing and apart from height handicapped & couple of older people they have gone for the same clones year after year. BB is sending the clones onto thier test stages and will choose the lucky h.m's and use the extas to fill in the gaps once the show has started.It has been highly speculated that BB would change things this year if this is a sample of the new housemates dont bother tuning in this year. same people differant year as always. BB would have a better chance at the ratings this year if it listned to it's watchers and filled the house with interesting life savvy people instead of the usual just out of school, promo, surfers and of course the ones that keep the house rummbling the farters. When are we going to see real people instead of models what signals are we sending our youger people when we fill the house with beautys every year WHERE ARE THE REAL people you promised us BB the ones with some kind of life experiences no more promo chicks or checkout sales people put some REAL people in before it is toooooooooo late and another year suffers.BB will be pulled off the air if the ratings fail them and it wont take weeks to do it if it is taken off air it will be done almost straight away.
So get ready for another BORING year.also auditionees were told not to tell anyone about their chances or experiences this however is un ture again as people are already promoting themselves and will be well known by the time they make it into the house. so much for keeping the process quiet and the threat of being kicked out if you told even your closest friend or family members.

As for DQ - she's been right, and she's been wrong, but this last post is 100% on the mark.
The final forty calls went out in the last week of February, as the producers had promised at the group auditions. They had an intense time whittling the list down - so much so that the conversations turned into arguments at several points. One of the producers was overheard saying that they were still adding and cutting names as the calls were being made. An "almost guaranteed winner" didn't get a call, but who it was remains a mystery. Nobody amongst the staff but the producers know the names of the final forty, so if you read otherwise, don't trust it. The medicals and psych evaluations are being finalized in the next few days. Participation notices will go out in the week commencing March 31, for an April 27th launch show to air on Mon 28th. The people who didn't get a call for the final forty should not give up hope - Intruders will be back as usual and the producers are willing go back as far as they have to to get the right personalities.
While the animal yard may be gone - that's not to say there won't be a pet this year.
Keep an open mind this year. The new face behind Big Brother is doing what it takes to set this series apart from any other. Massive changes are in motion - from behind the scenes, to the house (it's features in particular), to the housemates themselves. Borrowed twists are gone. This years focus is on personality.
That's all the scoop I'm sharing for now.

Anon #3 - correct. The final lineup of housemates will be selected from the final forty, having assessed the results of the medical and psych tests and consulting with the production MD and Psychologist. That said, there is almost always two or three people who fail, and there's often one or two people who voluntarily step out of the process.
Wannabe - Don't let this discourage you. The process has always been drawn out, not only because of the logistics behind the scenes that make it so, but because it also gives the applicants a taste of what it would be like to spend three months in a house with nothing but their thoughts (and how they deal with the waiting always reads into the psych testing). The emails and phone calls were all made on time, and applicants were given a time frame they would receive them by if successful at each stage of the auditions. It's plainly a matter of patience I'm afraid. It must be awful. Past housemates have often said that the audition process is the worst part, but that it's good preparation.
About the Intruder calls - while they could go out to anyone in the final 160, they will be harder to get because there are far less spots for intruders than original housemates. But as I said, please don't let this deter you and I would urge you to apply again next year. The producers were highly impressed with a large majority of the final 160! (And between you and me, they are each still a little bitter about some they had to sacrifice.)
We've also heard about some of the crazy and desperate e-mails the producers have received from people who weren't recipients of "the" call. One person was even courteous enough to hand write a plea and post it in! There sure are some creative people out there!
Ok, one tidbit about the house. There is a major and complicated installation that hasn't been seen in any Big Brother series around the globe. It's the last thing you would ever expect to see in the house, but it's going to be a big feature of the series.

Steph, I've never leaked spoilers before and I can assure you that we've never corresponded. While my job is on the line in doing this, I feel safe that I'm sharing information that is common knowledge amongst the Big Brother crew. I wanted to give it to you, because I've seen some of the slander against you on a certain board that harks of fascism and oppresses free speech. Whoever runs that board seems to be mentally dull, too. They curse at the mention of your moniker yet they run their entire site on 100% self speculation. It's a fact that they have no facts, and I heartily hope that this rubs them up the wrong way (but the fact that they are the laughing stock of BB HQ is enough for me). :) Sisters got to stick together!
Anon #3 - Correct. At the group auditions they were all told that successful applicants would receive a call in the last days of February. These calls went out, as promised, on the last few days of the month, to the final forty hopefuls without delay. This is the only round of calls that have been made to date. No one has been selected as a housemate yet. Of course, the Top 3 will be automatically selected (should they pass the medical and psych) but even they do not know that they are actually Top 3 - they are just as in the dark as the rest of the final forty.
Hopefully that ends a lot of speculation. BBBA is running rampant with garbage - rope them in DQ and take out the trash!

Anon, Why would you want to know that? Lol. I have no idea.
In the future (maybe around Big Brother 2050) ALL applicants will have the medical/psych tests done. As soon as you press the 'Submit Audition' button a little robot will appear and scan you & probe you. The Thought Police will also do thorough background checks. It'll all take about 30 seconds, and if you fail the tests you get vaporised for the good of society.

i just thought it would be interesting to know if they do like blood tests, urine tests or just you know heart rate fitness kind of stuff. With the police checks i just thought it would be really exxy to do all 160 ppl so thats why i was curious hmmm and this (if police checks were only top 40 then i would know if a "very" close friend was top 40 or not) lol :)

Police checks were done on the day of the group auditions so that any issues could be resolved the the auditionee face-to-face.
Unfortunately I can't help you with the what the medical testing involves, as I wouldn't have a clue though I'd imagine it's your basic medical with the addition of a urine screening.
Likewise, there's no way we'll ever find out who the one's that almost made final forty are. Big Brother keeps all this information under a very tight lock and key.
I don't have a specific date for the promos, but I'd imagine they'll be rolling out any day now. Vague, I know, but I'm not at all involved in that aspect of the production.

I read on bbba that DQ mentioned that people now know they are at least in with a chance as HM's-from a reliable source.... that they are havng their photos and intros filmed in the next two weeks. I thought anonymous "intheknow" sad participation letters go out the week 31st of March and noone will know until then??? So, how can they be doing those photo shoots??
