I've had a few emails and messages from people begging to be put out of their misery re the whole timeline for selection process.
My information is that nobody has been called yet, and that potential housemates will not know if they've been successful for a few more weeks yet. My info was "possibly Easter!!!"
However, as with everything BB related, this could change at any time.
Also, the rumour that the house renovations have been delayed due to bad weather is completely untrue. The house is actually well on schedule.

Anonymous, please don't take DQ's "for a few more weeks" as gospel, she is only using this as the latest for when BB producers let the cat out of the bag, the phone calls to successful auditionees can go out at any time within this week or the next week or even the week after that. When the promos start very soon, this is when the phone calls are likely to go out, though I am just theorising.
As for the house, well obviously not much has changed outside so most of the work is interior refitting, the rain is not likely to affect progress, and with that said the rainy weather has eased off a little which should help.
I believe we will know when the calls have gone out is when someone finally lets the cat out of the bag, that's most likely gonna be the case.
Anon1, Don't do that. Theres nothing you can do to influence it one way or another. Good luck though.

Look Steph, none of us are trying to bash BBBA, in fact I do think it's the best BBAU forum at the moment, but the amount of shit going on in there is of high concern, one which many want to voice their opinion on but are too afraid they'll be shut down because of it. This is falling on deaf ears with the admins, who keep telling people to piss off (basically).
I understand completely but I'd rather focus on BB08 than what happens over there. I'm no longer in a position to do anything about it.

on big brother chaos they are know saying that the calls have definatley gone out people like the one and ridge rogue have said and they said they did go out on the 28th i dont know they were contradicitng it b4 saying they didnt go out and now they are saying they are? what do you think. to me it makes more sense that they wouldnt have called becuase of the later starting date they would call later otherwise we would know for two months and that is too long

Um NO! The theme, promo's are closely guarded secrets between the BB producers, TEN and the advertisers. Anyone who leaked that kind of info would be found out because only a handful know about it amd probably sacked.
As for the calls going out. The information I have is that NO they have not. If that information is wrong, so be it. It's what I have at this time.

Anon, I was told two different things as the situation keeps changing. You have to understand that the show is still very much in the planning stages, which makes it hard for my insider to pin anything down. The last info I had was "possibly around Easter". All I can tell you for sure is that NO calls have gone out yet.
i wish I could put a definite time on it but I can't, I can only relay what was told to me.
